Jakarta, August 20, 2022 – PT Agung Concern, one of Indonesia’s leading transportation providers, held a series of events to celebrate its 68th anniversary on July 20, 2022. With the theme “Rise Up, Go Higher,” the company’s mission is to improve the quality of human resources in Indonesia. To realize this desire, on August 20, 2022, Agung Concern donated 1,068 school bags simultaneously in 10 Indonesian cities.

“Since its inception, Agung Concern has consistently strived to improve the quality of its human resources. Passing on the legacy, in celebration of its 68th anniversary and the implementation of Agung Concern’s social responsibility program, we are simultaneously donating 1,068 school bags to underprivileged elementary school students in Indonesia. We hope this donation will inspire them to study hard and achieve their dreams,” said Ilham Panjaitan, CEO of Agung Concern.

This donation targets underprivileged elementary school children in Jakarta, Bekasi, Bandung, Surabaya, Pekanbaru, Jambi, Bengkulu, Batam, Bali, and Lombok. Agung Concern partnered with the “1000 Guru Foundation,” a non-profit organization specialized in facilitating teaching and learning activities, to distribute the donations.

During the donation drive, Jemi Ngadiono, Chairman of the 1000 Guru Foundation, expressed his appreciation for Agung Concern’s initiative. “On behalf of all members of the 1000 Guru Foundation, we express our gratitude for Agung Concern’s contribution to education. We will utilize this donation to the fullest extent possible to maximize the learning abilities of students in Indonesia.”

Continuing its 68th anniversary celebrations, Agung Concern is organizing several other human resource development activities, such as a Motivational Webinar and a 68 KM Bike Ride Challenge for internal company members. “We hope that by holding this series of activities, both Agung Concern and the community around the company can develop together,” concluded Ilham.
