Agung Concern Inaugurates Eco-Friendly Library Space at Jambi City Education Office

Jambi, July 17, 2025 – Agung Concern, a national group of companies operating in the automotive, logistics, services, technology, and investment sectors, through its subsidiary Agung Toyota, continues to initiate various corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. This time, Agung Concern inaugurated an eco-friendly library space at the Jambi City Education Office as part of the company’s commitment to supporting education and environmental conservation.

The library building utilizes innovative materials made from recycled plastic, a collaboration with partners providing sustainable construction technology. In addition to constructing an environmentally friendly library space, Agung Concern also donated hundreds of books to support the strengthening of literacy culture in Jambi City.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Agung Concern management, including Himawan Wahyu Wardhana (Chief Operation Officer of Agung Toyota), Mahmud Fauzi (Regional Manager of the West Region of Agung Toyota), and Ihsan Hafirudin (Deputy Regional Manager of Agung Toyota Jambi). Also present were officials from the Jambi City Government, including the Regional Secretary of Jambi City, the Head of the Jambi City Education Office, and elements of the Jambi City Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

In his remarks, Ihsan Hafirudin said that the construction of this environmentally friendly library space is part of Agung Concern’s concrete steps in creating a positive impact in the education sector.

“The construction of this library space demonstrates Agung Concern’s commitment to supporting environmentally conscious education. We hope this facility will become a comfortable and inspiring literacy space, while fostering a stronger culture of literacy in Jambi City,” said Mahmud.

This library is designed with comfort and sustainability in mind, including the use of environmentally friendly materials and optimal lighting to support healthier and more enjoyable reading and learning activities.

The Head of the Jambi City Education Office, Mulyadi, also appreciated Agung Concern’s contribution in supporting education in Jambi City.

“We are very grateful for the establishment of this environmentally friendly library at the Department of Education. This facility supports the strengthening of education, particularly in developing superior human resources,” said Mulyadi.

The Regional Secretary of Jambi City, A. Ridwan, also expressed his appreciation for this contribution.

“On behalf of the Jambi City Government, we would like to express our gratitude for the construction of this library. We hope this facility will positively contribute to improving the human development index in Jambi City and sustainably improve the quality of community literacy. CSR programs like this are greatly needed, and we hope Agung Concern will continue these positive initiatives in the future,” said the Jambi City Regional Secretary.
