Jakarta, August 27, 2021 – As a commitment to corporate social responsibility, Agung Toyota, through its CSR program, is once again distributing aid to communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in various cities across Indonesia. This program focuses on distributing basic food supplies and facilitating emergency vehicles to strengthen healthcare services during the crisis.
Food Packages for Affected Residents
Throughout 2021, Agung Toyota distributed hundreds of food packages to various operational areas of its branches, including Surabaya, Jakarta, and other cities.
The food packages, containing basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, sugar, and mineral water, were distributed directly to communities economically impacted by the pandemic.
“This program demonstrates our concern for those in need. We hope this assistance can ease the burden during this difficult time,” said a representative from Agung Toyota management.
COVID-19 Emergency Vehicles for Local Governments
In addition to basic food aid, Agung Toyota also made a tangible contribution to pandemic response by lending two emergency operational vehicles to the Pekanbaru City Health Office and Madani Pekanbaru Regional Hospital.
These vehicles, equipped with drivers, fuel, and operating costs, are used to support the mobility of medical personnel and the distribution of medical equipment.
“We are lending these emergency vehicles as a form of active contribution to combating COVID-19, particularly to expedite health services and emergency response,” said Mahmud Fauzi, Regional Manager of Agung Toyota for the Western Region.
CSR with a Real Impact
Agung Toyota’s 2021 CSR program not only focused on mitigating the impact of the pandemic but also reached out to communities affected by other disasters, such as the victims of the Mount Semeru eruption. Donations were also distributed to orphanages, local communities, and other humanitarian activities.
Through these initiatives, Agung Toyota continues to demonstrate that social awareness and business sustainability can go hand in hand, in line with the company’s values and contributions to the development of Indonesian society.
