Batam, May 28, 2025 – Agung Concern, as a national group of companies operating in the automotive, logistics, services, technology, and investment sectors, through its subsidiary, Agung Toyota, continues to initiate various corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. This time, Agung Concern inaugurated an eco-friendly classroom at SMAN 26 Batam as part of its support for education and environmental conservation.
This classroom was built using innovative materials made from recycled plastic, the result of collaboration with partners providing sustainable construction technology.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the management of Agung Concern, including Agung Concern’s Chief Finance Officer, Mr. Berlinton Siahaan; Agung Toyota’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Himawan Wahyu Wardhana; Agung Toyota’s East Regional Manager, Mr. Yunus Arief Prabowo; Agung Toyota Batam Center Branch Manager, Mr. Aulia Muhammad; and Agung Concern’s Corporate Communication Manager, Mrs. Livia Panjaitan.
In his remarks, Mr. Yunus Arief Wibowo said that the construction of environmentally friendly classrooms at SMAN 26 Batam is part of Agung Concern’s commitment to implementing sustainable CSR programs.
“The construction of these classrooms demonstrates Agung Concern’s commitment to supporting environmental conservation. We hope this initiative will add value to education and have a positive social impact on the surrounding community,” said Mr. Yunus.
This classroom is designed with comfort and sustainability in mind, including the use of environmentally friendly materials and optimal natural lighting to support a healthier and more enjoyable learning process for students.
The Principal of SMAN 26 Batam, Mr. Midiyanto, also expressed his appreciation for the support provided:
“We express our gratitude for selecting SMAN 26 Batam as one of the recipients of Agung Concern’s CSR assistance. The inauguration of this environmentally friendly classroom is a significant milestone for our school in improving the quality of learning and creating a more conducive learning environment,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Governor of the Riau Islands Province, represented by the Regional Secretary of the Riau Islands Province, Mr. Drs. Adi Prihantara, M.M., also expressed his appreciation for this collaborative initiative.
“We express our gratitude and appreciation for Agung Concern’s commitment to education and its contribution to promoting the implementation of environmentally friendly principles in schools. This is a positive step toward sustainable development,” he said.
