Jakarta, August 31, 2022 – As the end of August 2022 approaches, COVID-19 cases in Indonesia are rising again, reaching 5,000 cases per day. Several areas are in need of assistance due to the surge in patients. Agung Concern, a leading transportation company, initiated a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ambulance program called Agung Cares on August 31.
In this program, Agung Concern donated three Toyota Dyna Old Vin vehicles to be used as ambulances in three cities: Pekanbaru, Jambi, and Denpasar. Each city will receive one ambulance specifically for transporting COVID-19 patients.

“We are providing a dedicated COVID-19 ambulance by modifying a Toyota Dyna Old Vin. Its spacious cabin and powerful engine are the reasons we chose this unit. We strive to provide comfortable, safe ambulances that support timely care so that COVID-19 patients can receive prompt treatment,” explained Livia Panjaitan, Corporate Communications Manager of Agung Concern.
She continued, explaining that this program represents a concrete step by the company in addressing COVID-19 cases outside of Java. Livia expressed pride and joy that the Agung Peduli program is supported by several well-known companies, including Toyota Astra Financial, Astra Credit Company, Maybank Finance, Mandiri Finance, Buana Finance, Adira Finance, BCA Finance, Asuransi Ramayana, and Asuransi Astra.
“We are grateful to all the companies that have worked to realize the Agung Peduli: Emergency COVID-19 Ambulance program. This support is concrete evidence that Agung Concern’s CSR program has a broad impact and provides direct benefits to the recipients,” Livia continued.
The three ambulances will be handed over to the respective city governments of Pekanbaru, Jambi, and Denpasar once the bodywork is complete. The ambulances are scheduled to be operational in early September 2022. “Through this assistance, we hope to reduce COVID-19 mortality until the pandemic is over. After that, these donated vehicles can be used like regular ambulances,” Livia concluded.
