Jakarta, July 23, 2026 – Agung Logistics, a business unit under the Agung Concern Group, has once again demonstrated its commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement by hosting its 2nd Quality Control Circle (QCC) Convention at the Agung Concern Building Hall in Jakarta.
Centered on the theme “Elevate Our Business With Digitalization & Green Logistics,” the event serves as a platform for the Agung Logistics team to develop ideas, innovations, and solutions to various operational challenges, while simultaneously driving business processes toward greater effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.

The Spirit of Continuous Improvement Among Agung Logistics Personnel
A Quality Control Circle (QCC) is a small group of employees who voluntarily identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to quality and work processes. QCC embodies the spirit of Kaizen or continuous improvement—a culture of making consistent and ongoing enhancements. In the rapidly evolving logistics industry, this spirit is crucial for driving innovation, ranging from improved warehousing efficiency to the optimization of processes and supply chains.
Agung Logistics’ 2nd QCC journey began with the participation of 16 circles from various Agung Logistics business units. Twelve circles successfully completed the entire QCC process and its various stages consistently. Following a selection process, the five best circles were chosen to advance to the final round and present their improvement results to management, the panel of judges, and invited guests at the 2nd QCC Convention’s main event.
Elevate Our Business With Digitalization & Green Logistics
The theme adopted this year also reflects the direction of Agung Logistics’ transformation in response to developments within the logistics industry. Digitalization opens up various opportunities to enhance efficiency through the use of increasingly integrated systems. Agung Logistics has implemented this approach by utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), and tracking systems to support its operational activities.
At the same time, the concept of Green Logistics has become part of efforts to create more sustainable logistics and supply chain processes by prioritizing resource efficiency and reducing environmental impact. By combining a spirit of continuous improvement, digitalization, and environmental awareness, QCC is expected to generate innovations that not only benefit the company but also enhance service quality for customers.

Management Support and Strategic Partners
The highlight of the 2nd QCC Convention opened with remarks from Mr. Junichi Ueno, the Technical Advisor and QCC Organizing Committee Chairman. He commended the participants for their dedication in consistently and voluntarily carrying out QCC activities, even after the company underwent a structural reorganization the previous year.
Next, Mr. Jamborette L.G., Managing Director of Operations & Marketing at Agung Logistics, encouraged the participants and expressed his hope that the second annual QCC event would be even better and more engaging. A key message he conveyed was that the activities and improvements resulting from the QCC should not cease once the competition ends; rather, they should continue to serve as a guide for enhancing operational activities in the field.
In this way, the benefits of the QCC can be felt not only by the participants but also by their departments, the work environment, and Agung Logistics as a whole. The event was attended by Mr. Jamborette L.G. (Managing Director of Operations & Marketing, Agung Logistics), Mr. Henry Panjaitan (Director, Agung Raya), and Mr. Budi Irawan (VPLD Department Head, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia/TMMIN).
The finalists were evaluated by a panel of judges comprising both internal and external representatives: Mr. Junichi Ueno, Mr. Lowel Hatoguan Parhusip, Mr. Faizal Hasan, Mr. Wasis Marsudi (Toyota Astra Motor), and Ms. Vita Auliana (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia/TMMIN). The involvement of external judges from Toyota Astra Motor and TMMIN brought valuable perspectives and objectivity to the assessment process while reinforcing quality standards for the QCC event.
QCC Is More Than Just a Competition
The QCC Convention is about more than just determining the best team; it serves as a means for Agung Logistics to foster a mindset where every employee can contribute to the company’s progress through ideas and improvements initiated within their own work environments. Issues encountered during daily operations can become opportunities to create new solutions, thereby allowing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to flourish.
Ultimately, this spirit supports Agung Logistics’ various service lines—ranging from warehousing, export-import, and vehicle shipping to land and sea transport, as well as port loading and unloading operations.
Stepping Towards a Better Future for Logistics
Through the 2nd Quality Control Circle (QCC) Convention, Agung Logistics demonstrates that corporate transformation is not merely about adopting new technology; it is also about the drive within every individual in the company to continuously learn, adapt, innovate, and improve.
From the 16 circles that began the journey to the selection of the top five, the entire QCC process reflects the spirit and dedication of Agung Logistics’ people toward quality improvement.
For the Agung Concern Group, this culture plays a vital role in encouraging every business unit to keep evolving in step with changing times. The synergy of human resources, technology, innovation, and sustainability principles is expected to generate greater value for customers, the company, society, and the environment.
Looking ahead, the QCC spirit is expected to grow further through the involvement of more individuals and business units within Agung Logistics. Ideas generated through QCC are also expected to be implemented in daily operations, delivering tangible and sustainable impact.
Keep innovating, keep improving, and keep moving forward together toward a future of logistics defined by quality and sustainability.
